Official Server Rules – Weapons of War Renaissance

 

The following is a non-exhaustive list of rules all players are expected to follow.


 

General Mandate

 

While not all offensive behaviors may be explicitly listed, all players are expected to uphold a high standard of respect and integrity when interacting with any person encountered on Weapons of War Renaissance.


 

Important Disclaimers

 
       
  • WoW Renaissance staff members reserve the right to evaluate each incident on a case-by-case basis. Disciplinary action may vary based on the severity and history of the offense.
    •    
  • Our primary goal is to ensure an enjoyable game environment for everyone. Any player or group consistently disturbing this environment will be punished accordingly.
    •  

     

    1. General Protocol

     

    Before proceeding, please acknowledge these foundational policies:

     
         
    • You are responsible for knowing and adhering to all rules; ignorance is not an excuse.
      •    
    • All game assets, accounts, and characters created on the server are the property of WoW Renaissance.
      •    
    • If you encounter a violation of these rules, you are required to report the incident to staff via official channels.
      •  

       

      2. Community Conduct & Harassment

       

      These rules govern behavior on all WoW Renaissance platforms, including the game and Discord:

       
           
      • Light-hearted banter is permitted, but deeply offensive, targeted, or threatening remarks are strictly forbidden.
        •    
      • Refusing to cooperate with a staff member or obstructing their enforcement of rules is prohibited.
        •    
      • Publicly defaming or aggressively criticizing Weapons of War Renaissance or any of its staff members is strictly forbidden.
        •  

         

        3. Exploits & Third-Party Software

         

        The following behaviors will result in a 7-day ban up to permanent removal from the server if found guilty:

         
             
        • Exploiting any known or unknown bug or glitch to gain an unfair advantage.
          •    
        • Using any third-party tool to modify the memory of the game client.
          •    
        • Using any third-party tool to automate gameplay (e.g., macroing, botting, cave scripts).
          •    
        • Any attempt at item or currency duplication via exploits.
          •  

           

          4. Real Money Trading (RMT) & External Transactions

           

          RMT (Real Money Trading) is strictly forbidden. This includes any attempt to buy, sell, or trade accounts, characters, items, or currency for real-world money (USD, EUR, PHP, etc.) or external goods/services.

           
               
          • Selling game assets for other games' currencies or assets.
            •    
          • Recharging eCoin and reselling it to other players as a business.
            •    
          • Using “middlemen” or third-party websites to facilitate RMT.
            •  
             

            Penalty: Permanent Ban.


             

            Appeal & Contact

             

            Permanent bans are severe, but players may contact staff to request review. To appeal, contact us directly via the official server contact method. Provide honest, clear information and any supporting evidence.

             
                 
            • Dishonesty or fabrication during any review will result in immediate denial.
              •    
            • Repeated, low-effort, or aggressive requests will be rejected.
              •  

               

              5. Account Ownership & Transfer Policy


               

              Account Selling / Buying / Transferring

               

              All accounts and characters are the property of WoW Renaissance. The purchase, sale, gifting, or transfer of an account to another individual is strictly forbidden.

               

              Penalty: Permanent ban of the account and all related accounts.


               

              Account Sharing — Strictly Prohibited

               

              Sharing accounts is not allowed. If you share your account with another person, this can link account activity and network identifiers (IP addresses, device fingerprints). If the other user is penalized or permanently banned, any linked accounts or users may also be affected. WoW Renaissance is not responsible for losses, bans, or penalties arising from account sharing. The original account owner is fully liable for all activity on that account.


               

              6. Scamming & Trading Responsibility

               

              All trade decisions are the player’s responsibility. Items or currency lost due to player error or scamming will not be refunded.


               

              Fraudulent Sales & Misrepresentation

               

              Fraudulent sales (e.g., falsely describing items or services) are prohibited.

               

              Penalty: Warning up to permanent ban following investigation.


               

              Responsible Trading and Fair Play

               
                   
              • Be aware of the source of items, especially in high-volume or repeated trades.
                •    
              • Report any trades that appear suspicious or involve potentially illegal assets.
                •    
              • Consistent trading with known cheaters or exploiters may result in suspension or permanent ban.
                •  

                 

                7. Advertisement of External Services

                 
                     
                • Posting links to competing servers or similar services.
                  •    
                • Encouraging players to leave WoW Renaissance for other games or servers.
                  •    
                • Advertising other servers on any WoW Renaissance communication channel.
                  •  

                   

                  8. Impersonation

                   
                       
                  • First Offense: One-week silence/mute across all communication channels.
                    •    
                  • Subsequent Offenses: Escalating penalties up to a permanent ban.
                    •  

                     

                    9. Wager-Based PvP Matches

                     
                         
                    • Neutral Participant: A third, unbiased party must monitor the match.
                      •    
                    • Record-Keeping: The neutral participant must document real-time combat data (e.g., HP changes).
                      •    
                    • Video Capture: The match must be fully recorded by at least one participant as essential dispute evidence.
